The Franke family arrived in the UK from the Netherlands in 1965. In 1984, they purchased their farm at Langley in Buckinghamshire, and constructed glasshouses at Cherry Orchard Nursery. Initially, they followed the family tradition of producing tomatoes and lettuce but in switched to growing raspberries for BerryWorld.
The Franke family grow raspberries with care and expertise from June through to October.

The Emery family have been growing in Hampshire since 1966.
Established in 1966 by Gordon Emery and his brothers, Gordon's two sons Richard and Vernon Emery took over the business in 1978. The family starting in salad crop before moving to berries in 1993 and started supplying BerryWorld in 1996. In 2019 Vernon stepped away from the business and James Emery took over as a partner.
The Emery’s grow strawberries from May to October and raspberries from May to November, over five farms in Hampshire. Hampshire has a big history of strawberry growing which goes back 100 years when Hampshire was the biggest strawberry producer in Europe. Now you will see in Hampshire road signs, train stations and pubs named after strawberry varieties.

Dearnsdale Fruit are a family run business, who have been farming in the rural county of Staffordshire since the 1800s. In the 1970s’ Dearnsdale Fruit started to grow strawberries and raspberries.

Starkeys Fruit have a long heritage in growing fruit, it all began at Norwood Park over 100 years ago in 1910 when John R. Starkey (MP for Newark) planted a Bramley Apple orchard.
